What is the metric methodology of CoinMarketCap?
CoinMarketCap provides second-hand updates for all market data on the website. Every minute they will ask for their latest market data on various exchanges. All data is executed through several data cleaning and verification algorithms to ensure data integrity.
Price (market pair)
Prices for each market pair are calculated by taking the unchanged prices reported directly from the exchange and converting it to USD using existing prices in CoinMarketCap.
Price (Cryptoasset)
The price of any cryptocurrency is the average weight of the market pair prices for CryptoCurrencies. The higher the percentage of volume contributed by the pair, the greater the impact on the average price. The main reason for using a weighted average is, in general, higher volume markets where there is more liquidity and less room for price fluctuations. Some prices are generally excluded and the market tab (*) indicates a star if the price does not appear to indicate a free market price. Some prices are automatically excluded when the algorithm detects that the reported price is significantly higher compared to other market pairs for a single cryptocurrency with a three-star (***) mark on the Market tab.
Volume (Market Pair)
The volume for each market pair is calculated by obtaining a 24-hour volume recorded directly from the exchange of quotation units and converting it to USD using current prices in CoinMarketCap.
Volume (Cryptoasset)
Any cryptocurrency volume is the total trading volume recorded by all exchanges in the last 24 hours for that cryptocurrency. If the trade does not enable a trade fee or otherwise does not provide a significant incentive to trade on trading pairs, several market pairs indicated by stars (**) in the Market tab are excluded. The market pair with these characteristics is subject to trading, which results in artificially inflated record volumes.
Volume (exchange)
The volume of any exchange is the sum of all market pair volumes recorded on the exchange during the last 24 hours.
Customized Version – Volume that comes from places other than markets, free of charge and without trading transactions.
Reported Volume – All locations are market volumes
Calculating the total exchange volume does not exclude market pairs that are excluded from the calculation of the cryptocurrency volume.
Volume (Aggregate)
The total volume for all encryption kits is the sum of all individual encryption kits in the last 24 hours.

Circulating Supply
Circulation supply is the best approximation of the amount of assets circulating in the market and among the general public. Market Capitalization Aggregate
The total market capitalization for all cryptocurrencies is the sum of all individual cryptocurrency market capitalizations that meet the designated requirements.
